According to the Public Relations Office of Petrochemical Investment and Development Company (PETROL), Hassan Abbaszadeh dedicated his first official visit to the country’s petrochemical sites to the Persian Gulf Sadaf Petrochemical Project, reviewing the progress of this national initiative and the installation of the first onshore and environmentally friendly flare in Iran’s oil and gas sector.
During the visit, the acting Managing Director of the National Petrochemical Company stressed the importance of completing the Persian Gulf Sadaf project as a strategic initiative with the highest value-added potential in the Styrene Park. He stated, “We hope this national project becomes operational as soon as possible, bringing prosperity and pride to the great nation of Iran.”
The CEO of the Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Group reaffirmed full support for the completion of this national project, urging shareholders to address obstacles and challenges, particularly those related to financial arrangements.
Dr. Ali Askari highlighted that the Persian Gulf Sadaf Petrochemical Project is the first producer of green rubber raw materials in the country, stating: “Upon commissioning, this complex will not only ensure self-sufficiency in imports but will also drive exports and generate foreign exchange revenue.”
The Persian Gulf Sadaf Petrochemical Project is poised to become the largest elastomer producer in the Middle East and the sole operator of an onshore and environmentally friendly flare in Iran’s oil industry. Once operational, it will manufacture eco-friendly products under a certified European license.
